Diversity and Inclusion: Partnership with WIL Employment Connections and Immploy
Virtual Round Table
Last week (Wednesday February 10, 2021), our HR Talent Acquisition Specialist was the guest speaker at a Virtual Round Table hosted by WIL Employment Connections and Immploy. Both community organizations offer a range of employment programs that are specifically tailored the needs of immigrants and newcomers to Canada.
A group of (pre-selected) qualified immigrants, with Mechanical, Engineering, and Supply Chain background, attended the virtual presentation. With many of them eager to put their talent to work, all were noticeably excited to be in direct contact with a potential employer and receive career advice.
Our team was able to provide attendees with a deeper understanding of international talent acquisition, by using practical examples. Providing a background of Hydra Dyne Technology’s mission, vision and values, as well as talking about our culture and diversity, and sharing career opportunities and recruitment process, led to engaged questions and discussion during this event.
About this Partnership
We are happy to partner with WIL Employment Services and Immploy and do our part in supporting workforce diversity and bridging the gap between labour market demand and supply. This virtual round table provided a great opportunity to give back to the community. Hydra Dyne Technology is passionate about diversity and inclusion and we believe this virtual round table is the start of a lasting partnership that will lead to increased employment opportunities for new Canadians.
